PokerStars Celebrates 19th Anniversary of Sunday Million with $6M Guaranteed Event
The iconic PokerStars Sunday Million tournament is turning 19 years old, and PokerStars is commemorating the occasion with a massive $6 million guaranteed prize pool event. However, before the anniversary tournament, PokerStars is hosting a six-week Sunday Million Season from now until April 6th.
During this season, a staggering $18.7 million in total prize money is guaranteed across 70 events. These include low, medium, and high buy-in versions with huge main events capping off each week. A $100,000 leaderboard prize and $300,000 in tournament tickets are also up for grabs.
The season kicks off with the $109 Sunday Million Phased from February 16-23, boasting a $1 million guarantee. Other key events are the $215 Sunday Million on March 2 ($1M gtd), the $11/$109/$1,050 Sunday Specials on March 9 ($125K/$1M/$250K gtds), and the $350,000 guaranteed 14th Anniversary Sunday Storm on March 23 for just $11.
But the crown jewel is the $215 Sunday Million 19th Anniversary event on April 6 with its $6 million guaranteed prize pool. Players can attempt to win entry by eliminating PokerStars ambassadors who will have bounties.
Numerous promotions will run concurrently, including Sunday Million freerolls, a Power Path offering $0.50 daily tickets to $109 events, $4 Spin & Gos awarding $215 tickets, and a $300K ticket giveaway for playing tournaments. The top performers will also win $100K in SCOOP tickets.
