Hard Rock Tulsa Offers the Ideal WSOP Circuit Festival For Beginners
The World Series of Poker Circuit is heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma, on March 5 for the WSOP Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa. The Hard Rock Tulsa will host players for 18 WSOPC ring events over two weeks, catering primarily to low-stakes players with a wide range of $250 and $400 buy-in tournaments. This festival offers an excellent opportunity for beginners to participate in their first serious tournaments or for trophy chasers to secure a gold ring at an affordable price. The festival will conclude on March 16 after twelve days of play.
The Hard Rock Tulsa plans to host more WSOPC tournaments than last year’s edition, with 18 ring events this year compared to 15 in 2024. Fifteen of the events are open-field numbered tournaments, while the remaining three are closed events: two Seniors events and one Ladies event, each with a $250 buy-in. Manageable pricing is the theme of the schedule, with most tournaments aimed at low-stakes players. In addition to the $250 events and the $1,700 Main Event, there are a dozen tournaments with $400 buy-ins. The festival is predominantly focused on Texas hold’em, with only one pot-limit Omaha tournament, but includes variations like short-handed and bounty events.
Han Feng, the reigning GPI Mid-Major Player of the Year, holds the current title of WSOP Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa Main Event Champion. Feng won $144,413 and a WSOPC gold ring in the 2024 event, which attracted 472 entries for a $715,080 prize pool. Jared Ward finished second, taking home $89,255.
Before the WSOP Circuit Hard Rock Tulsa kicks off, a few other WSOPC events are wrapping up, including the WSOP Circuit Harrah’s Cherokee and Graton Resort & Casino on February 24, and the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Baltimore and Horseshoe Hammond on March 10.
