Global Poker’s Grizzly Games VIII Series Crowns Big Winners

The Global Poker Grizzly Games VIII series, held from January 27 to February 16, proved to be a resounding success on the US-facing social poker site. While the event provided excitement for all participants, some players emerged as champions, achieving remarkable feats in the Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC) leaderboards.

The series, part of the 2024-2025 Global Poker Championship (GPC) season, featured multiple tournaments taking place daily throughout its duration. As the series progressed, players battled for top spots in the leaderboards, with “FlushMe2Tears” and “viztyskie” ultimately claiming the Gold Coin and Sweeps Coin overall titles, respectively.

In the Gold Coin leaderboard, “FlushMe2Tears” showcased an impressive run, reaching 10 final tables and shipping an astonishing four tournaments. Meanwhile, “KazRich” and “messeyjesse” each reached an equally remarkable 15 final tables, although they fell short of the top spot. Aside from the coveted Gold Coins and trophies, many players also received stylish Global Poker swag.

On the Sweeps Coin side, six players emerged as multiple event winners during the Grizzly Games series. All players in the top 10 of the leaderboard secured at least one trophy, but “viztyskie” reigned supreme, conquering two events and reaching five final tables.

“BUYMEDINNER” finished a close second with three final tables and two tournament wins, while “Packers2010” also had a strong showing with three final table appearances and two titles.

Kyle Anderson, a PokerNews ambassador and Global Poker streamer, had a notable series, culminating in a nearly nine-hour streaming session where he won the SC 33 Shootout Heads-Up turbo event for SC 2,044. The no-limit hold’em format, which required players to win their table to advance, attracted 284 entries.
